Introduction to the Top Ten DSi Games

While this is not my first DSi Games article, I felt as if my original Nintendo DSi games list could do with a little refreshment to reflect some of the great new DSi games that have appeared over the last year.

Finding the best DSi games for your Nintendo DSi console is not always easy, since there are thousands of DSi games to choose from, not only from Nintendo, but from several DSi game publishers. Fortunately I have compiled a list of some of the best DSi games right here to allow you to get the very best out of your Nintendo DSi console.

All the Nintendo DSi games also work on the Nintendo DSi XL. The DSi XL is very similar to the standard DSi, however it has a screen nearly twice as large to give you the very best out of your DSi games. You can find more information about the DSi XL on my DSi XL review!The Best DSi Games

The problem with compiling a top ten list of DSi games is that the entire matter is subjective. My best DSi games might cause others to cringe. So without further ado, it is my great pleasure to bring you, the amazin, the fantastic, the self indulgent, the Top Ten Nintendo DSi Games!10) Transformers: War for Cybertron DS - Best DSi Game?

This top DSi game Transformers War for Cybertron is a fantastic action DS game which brings together fast paced action, intriguing singleplayer story lines and a fantastic multiplayer mode.

There are two versions of the Transformers War for Cybertron which can be bought, namely Decepticons and Autobots. Each version of this game follows a different story line, and comes with it's own set of transformer bots.

Different bots can be unlocked and chosen for different missions, it is important to realise however that in this great Nintendo DSi game each bot has different weaknesses and strengths which must be used effectively

Transformers War for Cybertron DS is a fantastic DSi game, but while it does have some interesting new fetures, it doen't bring anything with amazing innovation to the table.9) Dragon Ball Origins 2

Dragon Ball Origins 2 DS allows you to follow the original Red Ribbon Army Saga from the Anime TV series which captured the worlds attention in an amazing DSi game. This is one of the latest DSi games to follow the Dragon Ball DS series!

Dragon Ball Origins 2 DS helps draw you in to the game with some of the most intuitive camera actions of any DSi game which helps to give you the best possible view of your action.

And with this DSi game there will be a LOT of action. Dragon Ball Origins 2 brings a lot of fast pased DSi game gameplay to the Nintendo DSi. In Dragon Ball Origins 2 you play as the hero Goku. However as the game progresses you will also play as Krillin, Bulma, Yamcha, and various other famous Dragon Ball Origins 2. Each of these characters has their own special moves and

Puzzler World DS is a one of the latest DSi games which brings together some of the best puzzles in to one single, challenging DSi game. In Puzzler World DS you will face many familiar puzzle DS Games which you may have seen sold in single packages, but here in Puzzler World DS you get it all, and more!

Wordsearch, Sudoku, Spot the Difference, Hangman and more all appear in Puzzler World DS, along with some other games you may or may not be familiar with. All these fantastic Nintendo DSi games have finally been put together on quite frankly one of the best DSi games ever released for puzzle lovers!7) The Daring Game for Girls DS

I have written a few top ten DSi game lsits now, and one of my biggest complaints always seems to be that I simply don't include enough Girls DSi games. This tiem around I have tried to remedy that with a little research, and one of the best girls DSi games I have come across is for the younger generation (6 to 12 year olds).

The Daring Game for Girls DS is a fantastic Girls DSi game, which will take your child on a world of adventure as they complete tasks varying as widely as running a lemonade stal, to climbing Mount Everest. This game is a lot of fun, but it also helps to instill values of hard work and earning rewards for the hard work. Along with this your daughter will learn a lot of facts about women who braved the world in the fantastig Girls DSi game - The Daring Game for Girls.6) Lego Battles DS

Since I have included a DSi game just for the girls it seems only fair that I include a boys DSi game too. Lego Battles DS falls in to the Boys DSi games spot with ease. Simple controls mixed with a wide variety of mayhem and warfare bring together the perfect boys DSi game.

Lego Battles DS gives you 90 missions over 6 story lines, along with some amazing multiplayer DSi action. With this you can fight on land, in the sea, or even in space with Lego Pirates, Lego Space, and Lego Castle (Lego Knights).

In Lego Battles DS you can bring together all kinds of different battalions with 55 characters to play with, and 30 vehicles to annihilate!

Lego Battles DS is a great boys Nintendo DSi game which allows them to build bases, assemble armies and fight against the AI or their friends in an intensely fun war game.5) Bejeweled Twist DSi Game

Bejeweled Twist DS brings one of the most addictive Puzzle/Action mixes to the Nintendo DSi console. With limitless hours of gameplay you will find yourself addicted to this simple yet chalenging DSi game.

While Bejeweled might have been around for a while now, the DSi version of this fantastic game comes with some fantastic additions. To start with Bejeweled Twist DS brings 5 challenging game modes local leaderboards, and some amazing graphical effects.

Mix these in with the original Bejeweled gameplay and you have one of the best DSi games for on the move entertainment i have ever found!4) Style Savvy Girls DSi Game

Yes that's right, I have managed to squeeze two great Girls DSi games in to my top ten DSi games list. Style Savvy is aimed at any girl who is really in to fashion. In Style Savvy DS you will find yourself the manager of a top style boutique, where you will have to fight to become the best by pleasing your style conscious customers, and winning catwalk competitions.

Wireless multiplayer will also give you some great extras in this fantastic girls DSi game as you can shop, and compete with your friends. Style Savvy DS is most definitely a girls DSi game, but in my opinion it is one of the best Girls DSi games out there, focusing on fashion and style rather than action and strategy.3) Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside Story

Mario and Luigi is by far one of the Best Mario Games I have ever played.It has two story modes, one where you occasionally play as Bowser, and another where you play as both Mario and Luigi. in this brilliant DSi game you will end up teaming up with Bowser to protect the Mushroom Kingdom from a new invader, unfortunately as luck would have it you end up being miniaturized and sucked in to Bowsers Belly before this comes about!

in Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside Story you will literally be playing INSIDE Bowser for much of the game, defeating any of the nasty things which live on the insides of the brute. It is nice to see some real innovative gameplay features in what is the latest DSi game of the Mario series!2) Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box

Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box brings a return of the adventurous professor to another puzzle filled DSi game. You actually get over 150 puzzles, and another 33 intriguing puzzles which will be released weekly after the game has been released!

As well as the main story line, which is one of the best mystery DSi game storylines I have ever played, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box contains a wide range of Mini Games which will help keep you entertained just when the puzzles in this DSi game start to feel tedious. There is little doubt in my mind that this amazing puzzle DSi game deserves such a high spot in my top ten DSi games list!1) Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games

Mario and Sonic return in one of the greatest DSi games ever made, and one which easily earns the number one spot of my Top Ten DSi games list.

In Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games you can play as the two heroes, or one of their friends, as you try and claim the Mario and Sonic Olympic Winter Games title. While this may seem easy enough in single player mode, you can also go online to pit your skills against a world wide leader board!

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games will challenge all your DSi game skills as you compete in a series of real world, and imaginaryW inter Olympic games as your favorite Mario or Sonic character. You will soon be able to do surprisingly well in the games of your choice thanks to the intuitive pick up and play style. Whether you just go in for certain events, or do missions, you are bound to have an amazing time playing the best Nintendo DSi game of 2010, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games!
