Cash

Every free to play game from Zynga has this. It is like the fast access to everything. If you want to finish planting your crop, just use this and it is done. However, it requires real money. The sad part is, you can only get 1 Cash per level up. So far I do not know of any other way that you can earn cash from the game other than leveling up, which makes it quite a hassle for free players.

Experience

This purple bar tells you how much experience you need until you get to the next level.

Feed

This is required to feed your farm animals. You start off with a goat and a chicken, so they get hungry and you will need feed to keep them full. The goat gets hungry every 15 minutes and the chicken is 5 minutes. If you are an active player, be sure to feed it!

Water

This is used for planting crops, trees and making food in the crafting kitchen. Water replenishes every 3 minutes. You can also get extra 10 water from wells every 4 hours.

Fertilizer

This will give you a chance to harvest prized crops, which gives you more gold when sold. You can get them randomly from feeding your animals. It is rare though.

Power

So do take advantage of it. Plant the longest harvesting crops such as strawberries and pumpkins. That way, you will earn more experience in the long run.

3. Try and get the Land Expansion 1 and 2 as quickly as possible. It will help you get more gold in the long run. If you are a casual and don't have time to play for more than 10 or 15 minutes a day, just harvest pumpkins or strawberries, which takes 8 hours and 1 day respectively. Beware though, if you don't come and harvest them when it is done, it can wither and die. I believe if you don't log on for 3 days or more, they die and hence wasting your coins.

Crafting Kitchen

Over here, you can create recipes or make food to sell for more coins. This is unlocked after 2 land expansions. Depending on what you want to make, it is better if you focus on harvesting the crops required for the recipe. If you are an active player, Terra habitat is the way to go. For less active players, you will want to go for less gold/min but higher maximum gold habitats.

Gems

Gems are used to buy rare dragons. These are rare for a free player, as they are only obtainable through fighting other players and winning the combat tournament every 6 hours or leveling up. The Dragon Stadium will also allow you to earn Gems as well when you win fights every 12 hours. Build one as soon as you get the chance.

Food

This is essential in every dragon city. Food levels your dragons, making them stronger at combat and also earning more gold per minute. To obtain food, you can build farms to grow food.

Gold

Gold is the currency in which you use to do everything in the game. To earn gold, you can either collect from your habitats, or do quests and participate in daily rewards. Selling dragons that are rare can also be a good way to make gold, but that will require time.

Dragon Training

Your dragon is eligible for training once it hits level 15. Choose the ability that you want your dragon to learn. Attacks surrounded by a gold border are very strong attacks, so you should prioritize and learn those first. Skills will take time to learn.Tips and Tricks

Don't spend unnecessary Gems on things such as speeding up hatch speed or breeding speed unless you do not mind spending real money. Save them for the hatchery upgrade, giving you more room to breed dragons.

Dragon City is a Social Point game that is played through Facebook. It is currently a top trending Facebook game with over 671,000 likes. This game grabbed my attention because I personally have a fascination with dragons and the way the game plays.How To Play

The idea of the game is to breed new types of dragons and raise their levels. Later in the game you can attack other players with your dragons. There is much to do in this game however not so much to do at one sitting as it is more of a collect and upgrade then wait type of game.

You begin by building an earth habitat and hatching an earth dragon. The first few goals you are provided with enough gems (the buy with cash currency) to speed up the building and hatching process. The purebred Earth dragon provides one of the highest gold per minute rate. However the Earth habitat has the lowest max gold limit. This can be overcome later by upgrading the habitat. You can level your dragons by feeding them. Each times the dragon levels the amount of gold per minute increases. Gold is used to grow food, clear obstacles, build habitats and more. Early in the game you will go through your gold quickly but as you build more habitats you will outgrow the curve.

After you have built the earth habitat and hatched the egg you will be prompted to build a fire habitat and hatch a fire egg. Then you can begin breeding your dragons. Each time you breed a dragon it will become a hybrid of the two types bred.

Currently there are 9 main types of dragons and habitats and from what I've seen about 50+ types of hybrids/item shop/reward types of dragons. Personally I have 21 different types of dragons and 7 of the types of habitats.Dragon Battles

After leveling your dragon a bit you can participate in dragon battles. Here you can win gems, gold and maybe a bit of fame. Once every 12 hours you can fight in the coliseum against a particular type of dragons randomly. Alternately you can fight in the league against other players around your level. Here you gain 1 battle per every 6 hours up to 3. If you defeat everyone in that league you win gems and advance to a higher league.

Dragons will learn skills as they level. They have a basic non elemental skill such as punch to begin with. The last skill is learned at level 15 and is the most powerful attack. Some elements are weaker to others while some are immune so choose your dragons carefully. It also helps to level up different types of elements of dragons to broaden your abilities.

When battling you can select up to three dragons to fight with the same applies to your opponent. The objective is to knock out each of your opponents three dragons to win.

• RecognizeMe: This tweak will bring biometric security to your iOS Device. Meaning that instead of having to enter a passcode on your lockscreen you have the option to use facial recognition technology. This is done by first taking a series of automated photo’s using RecognizeMe’s Face Trainer. Once this is complete you simply lock your iOS Device and you now have the option to unlock your device using facial recognition.
• Winterboard / Dreamboard: Both Winterboard and Dreamboard are theming platforms that can completely change the look of your iOS Device. Winterboard was the original theming platform for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, and Dreamboard came after Winterboard. The difference between the two is that Winterboard requires a re-spring to apply a theme, where Dreamboard applies the theme in seconds.
• 3DBoard / DeepEnd: Both of these tweaks take advantage of your iOS Device’s sensory hardware to give off a 3D effect on your app icons. The only difference between the two tweaks is that 3DBoard costs $2.99 and DeepEnd is free. Which tweak is better? That is hard to say, both have mixed reviews.
• NoLockScreen: Have you ever thought that the lock screen on your iOS Device didn’t need to be there? Well, a tweak has popped up in Cydia that gets rid of your lock screen. The NoLockScreen Cydia tweak bypasses the lock screen when you hit the home or power button, and takes you right to your home screen. You can enable/disable it from the Settings app, and you can uninstall at any time.
• WeatherIcon / LiveClock: Two very useful Cydia tweaks are WeatherIcon and LiveClock. The WeatherIcon Cydia tweak changes your weather app icon to display realtime weather info. So if it’s midnight and rainy, your app icon will be dark, have a cloud with rain on it, and the temperature will be displayed. The LiveClick Cydia tweak on the other hand makes your clock app on your springboard (homescreen) a real time app. Meaning it will display the actual time on the app logo, instead of the default 10:15 time.
• Safari Download Enabler: One of the huge limitations of iOS, is the inability to download any file you want and save it on your device. Safari Download Enabler is the most complete download solution for Safari. You might also want to check out Safari Download Manager.
• CyDelete: How annoying is it after you download some crappy package from Cydia to have to relaunch Cydia, go into Manage -> Packages, find it from the list, hit remove and wait? CyDelete allows you to download Cydia packages directly from your Springboard, just like deleting an app downloaded from the official App Store.
• AndroidLock XT: Have you ever wanted to change the boring ”Slide To Unlock” lockscreen? Yes, there is the option of ”Tap To Unlock” and a few others, but how about creating your own code of ”Slide To Unlock”. With AndroidLock you can draw the correct pattern you wish to unlock your iPhone.
